EULA

End User License Agreement (EULA)

This End User License Agreement (the “Agreement”) is a legal agreement between you (the “Licensee”) and NETSTEPUP  LLC (“we”, “us”, “our”). This Agreement becomes binding once you download, install, or use any fonts (the “Fonts”) from STEPUP’ website stpup.com (the “Site”). By downloading or using the Fonts, you agree to be bound by the terms of this Agreement. If you do not agree to the terms, do not download, install, or use the Fonts. By using this Site, you also agree to our Terms of Service (available here), which supplement this Agreement. In case of a conflict between the Terms of Service and this Agreement, this Agreement will take precedence.

1. Grant of License

Upon full payment, STEPUP grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license (the “License”) to use the Fonts in accordance with the type of license you select at the time of purchase. The License is personal to you and cannot be sub licensed, resold, or transferred to others. You may need to purchase multiple licenses depending on the intended use, which could include:

a) Desktop License

1 Font file = 1 License for up to 3 workstations. For more than 10 users, please contact us at Hey@stpup.com for customized pricing. This license allows you to use the Font for both commercial and non-commercial projects, including designing branding materials, posters, social media images, and more in applications like Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop), Microsoft Office, Canva, etc. Note: The Font cannot be used on websites or embedded in apps.

b) Web License

Choose the License based on your monthly page views. If you’re unsure of your traffic, you can select the smallest Web License, which works for most small businesses. The Web License allows you to embed the Font on a single website (1 domain + subdomains) using CSS for headlines and body copy. Note: This License does not cover physical materials, videos, or digital ads. If your monthly page views exceed the limit, you will need to purchase an additional License. Default for unlisted page views: 25k monthly page views. For larger requirements, please email Hey@stpup.com.

c) App/Game License

This license allows you to use the Font in apps and games (both mobile and desktop) for commercial and non-commercial projects. Note: The Font cannot be embedded on websites, used in videos, or for physical materials like posters or social media images. For those uses, you will need to also purchase a Desktop or Broadcast License.

d) ePub License

This License is for PDF, EPUB 2.01, EPUB 3, and KF8 formats, allowing you to embed and use the Font for unlimited publications. For cover pages and titles, a Desktop License is required.

e) Broadcast License

This License permits you to use the Font for video and moving images (e.g., TV show titles, social media ads on platforms like YouTube, TikTok, Facebook). Note: The Font cannot be embedded on websites or used for physical materials like posters or signage. For these uses, purchase a Desktop License as well.

f) NFT or Other Media

If the Font is used in an NFT or other digital media not covered by the above licenses, please contact us to customize your License based on the distribution scale and usage.

2. Intellectual Property Ownership

STEPUP retains all ownership rights, including trademarks, copyrights, and other intellectual property associated with the Fonts. By agreeing to this License, you acknowledge that STEPUP is the exclusive owner of all intellectual property rights related to the Fonts.

3. Unauthorized Use

Except as explicitly permitted in this Agreement, you may not:

• Alter, adapt, modify, or reformat the Fonts for other operating systems or purposes.

• Copy, create derivative works, or distribute the Fonts to unauthorized users.

• Rent, lease, sublicense, or resell the Fonts.

4. Backup Copy

You are allowed to make one (1) backup copy of the Font solely for the purpose of data backup.

5. No Warranties

The use of the Fonts is at your own risk. STEPUP does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation of the Fonts and expressly disclaims all warranties, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. STEPUP is not liable for any indirect, special, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost profits, business interruptions, or any other form of damage arising from the use of the Fonts.

Your only remedy for any issues with the Fonts is limited to the purchase price of the License.

6. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of California, USA. You agree to submit to the personal jurisdiction of the courts in California and waive any objections related to jurisdiction or venue.

Miscellaneous: You must comply with all applicable laws and regulations regarding the use of the Fonts.

• If any provision of this Agreement is found to be invalid, the remaining provisions will continue to be in effect.

• STEPUP reserves the right to modify or amend this Agreement at any time without prior notice.

7. Termination

This Agreement will automatically terminate if you or any authorized user violates any term of this Agreement. Upon termination, you must destroy or delete all copies of the Fonts.

If you have additional questions, specific requirements, or need a corporate license, please email us at hey@stpup.com. We strive to respond within 2 hours during business hours, Monday to Friday.

HOW TO INSTALL FONTS?

For Mac: Open up Font Book. If you have multiple font files, your font folder might be zipped. Double-click the folder to unzip it. Then, select all of the font files and drag and drop them into Font Book.

For Windows: If you have multiple font files, your font folder might be zipped. Double-click the folder to unzip it. Right click on one of the font files so that the menu opens up. Click Install.

Fonts are stored in the C:\Windows\Fonts folder. Another way to add fonts is by dragging them directly into this folder.

For Chrome Book: Install new fonts via the app you want to use them in. For example, if you want to use the purchased fonts in Canva, open Canva and follow these instructions: https://www.canva.com/help/upload-fonts. If you want to use another design app, try googling “install custom fonts on [insert the app name you want to use the fonts in]” to get more specific instructions on how to install them in your specific app.

FONT NOT SHOWING IN KEYNOTE

Close and reopen Keynote, then in the top menu open Format > Fonts > Show Fonts and make sure “All Fonts” is selected.

HOW DO I GET MY FONT FILES DELIVERED?

After your purchase, you’ll get a link to your font file/s.

Click to download and follow the install instructions.

WHAT FORMAT SHOULD I USE? OTF OR WOFF/2?

Font files come in different formats.

Select .OTF file if you’d like to use the fonts on your computer in other programs, such as Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop. Canva also accepts .OTF files if you want to add them to your brand kit.

Select .WOFF/.WOFF2 if you want to use the fonts on your website. Modern browsers will only need WOFF2 but we will give you both file types to ensure compatibility with older browsers, e.g. older Internet Explorer or Safari versions.

.OTF versus .WOFF/.WOFF2: WOFF formats are a compressed version of .OTF files so that the fonts load faster on websites. WOFF2 is an evolution of WOFF and is ~30% more compressed.

Other font file formats are TTF, EOT, and SVG. These formats are not needed or supported anymore. For questions, please email hey@stpup.com.

INSTALL ERROR: UNSUPPORTED FORMAT

General: Use the OTF format to install fonts on your computer. OTF is the most popular and modern format.

Website Fonts: If you want to use the fonts on a website, e.g. on a CMS like Wordpress, Webflow, and Squarespace, use the WOFF/2 format. WOFFs are smaller in size which will make your site load faster.
